Figurative Language iMovie
Follow these steps to make your movie:
_____ Screenshot poem Keynote page
_____ In Safari choose 5 images that support your poem’s language and one image for your title > [Save Image] to Camera Roll
_____ Open iMovie app
_____ + new project > Movie
_____ Choose theme > Create (this can be changed later if necessary)
_____ ? to view iMovie features > notice playhead
_____ [Photos] > Recently Added > Pop photos into movie. Move around (touch to frame in yellow for editing) as needed by choosing an image and dragging it to a new location or deleting
_____ Choose the microphone icon and read poem with expression (find a quiet place and speak into the iPad’s microphone)
_____ Adjust the photo lengths to fit your poem. The length of your recording will dictate the length of your movie.
_____ Add [Audio] and adjust volume so both are in background. You may need to adjust length of audio clips to fit movie and frames.
_____ Theme Music
_____ 1-2 Sound Effects that fit your poem
_____ Add Title/Name to first image
_____ Actions: Adjust Ken Burns effect for individual images as needed
_____ Title your movie in Projects
_____ Follow your teacher’s directions to publish
